The large predators that sit atop the marine food chain are a diverse group that includes finned sharks tuna dolphins feathered pelicans penguins and flippered seals walruses animals.

The Pacific Ocean has many food chains that overlap. They are eaten by shrimp copepods and pteropods. From killer whales at the top of the food chain to sea slugs at the bottom it is a vast ecosystem.

They are linked to each other because those on top eat those below. The Pacific Ocean is home to millions of unique creatures. Photosynthetic bacteria and algae are two of the many producers in the ocean.
